2 rolls - 180 gram Italian Crepe Paper (I used the color Rose and Peach 17 A/7)
Doublette crepe paper (I used the color leaf/moss)
Scissors
Glue gun
Glue sticks
Bathroom tissue cardboard roll
6-7 inch paper bowl
Tacky glue
Fauxtanicals Peony Template
Finished Peony will be approximately 12-14 inches

Cut The Petals

Petal #1 - Round Petal - Cut 15-16 petals

Petal #2 - Peony Petal - Cut 72 petals

Prepare the Bowl

Cut the edge off the the paper bowl.

Glue scraps to cover the paper bowl in the color of the peony you are making

Petal #1 - Cup all petals (to cup stretch petal out from the center, careful not to over stretch)

Petal #1 - Glue 7-8 petals on the inside of the bowl. Glue remaining petals on the outside of the bowl. You will want to place the inner and outer petals so they cover the rim of the bowl

Add Peony Petals

Petal #2 - Cup all petals

Layer 1 - Glue six peony petals around the bowl evenly

Layer 2 - Glue six additional petals around the bowl. Be sure to place these petals between the previous layer to create a staggered look

Add More peony petals

Layer 3 - This layer will consist of 12 petals. Glue two peony petals together and place the doubled sets evenly around the bowl
Layer 4 - Repeat the same process as layer 3, staggered
Layer 5 - Repeat the same process as layers 3 and 4, staggered
Layer 6 - This layer has 6 petals. Glue six petals evenly around the bowl, staggering between petals from layer 5
Layer 7 - This layer has 6 petals. Glue six petals evenly around the bowl, staggering with petals from layer 6
Turn the flower over (this makes it easier to add the final two layers of petals)
Layer 8 - Glue 6 petals evenly around the bowl
Layer 9 - Glue 6 petals evenly around the bowl

Prepare Center Petals

Take cardboard tissue roll, cut about one inch off, then cut the cardboard piece in half lengthwise and re-glue to create a smaller opening

Cover cardboard with leftover crepe paper

Cut four short strips at the bottom of the cardboard roll to create flaps

Petal #3 - Cut 40-50 petals

Cup each petal, glue, and roll each petal onto itself

Glue 10-12 of petal #3 together (kind of in a circle) and glue the clumped petals inside of cardboard roll

Attach Center Petals

Petal #3 - Attach remaining petals evenly around center piece, you may need fewer or more petals to fill the bowl.

Place tacky glue and hot glue on the flaps and place petal piece on the inside of the bowl

Attach Faux-liage

Take petal #4 and cut 18-20 leaves

Place 9-10 leaves evenly around the bottom of the flower

Place remaining leaves and stagger evenly around the first layer of leaves
